Our Bostani – the on-site vegetable and herb garden, tended to by an in-house team, produces seasonal crops that include eggplants, onions, tomatoes and peppers, amongst other vegetables, fruits, local greens and herbs, all destined for the intimate garden dinners that are hosted by our Chef Lefteris Iliadis. The menu is inspired by Crete’s local flavors and aromas, and pays tribute to all-time-classic family recipes.

Awe-inspiring sensory experiences, regional wines, and gastronomic treasures entrenched in Cretan history. Our Executive Chef, Lefteris Iliadis, serves guests traditional Cretan meze and raki on a large wooden table especially designed for the garden as he describes our sustainable agriculture practices. After that, you’ll be given the opportunity to choose by hand the seasonal vegetables and herbs that will be used in our in-depth cooking class at Mouries.

Savor the native wines, influenced by the island’s richness and embody the lighthearted nature of this Cretan idyll. The native grape varietals of Crete are introduced and promoted through special wine appreciation events. Also, as part of the Futouris project for Sustainable Viticulture, we assist regional winemakers who engage in sustainable farming. Join us on one of these evenings to learn more about the Plyto, Dafni, Vilana, Mandilari, and Kotsifali kinds that are the most recognizable in Crete. Savor them with mouthwatering local cheeses like Tirozouli, Anthotiros, Xynomizithra, Mizithra, and Gruyere for a culinary experience that immerses you in the flavors and fragrances of Crete.

Have a distinguished Cretan Olive Oil Experience to fully appreciate the richness and complexity of olive oil made in Crete. Olive oil tasting events have been planned by Crete Malia Park in conjunction with Kritsa village’s Agricultural Cooperative’s olive oil producers.
